Georgia Milestones
The Georgia Milestones is an annual test taken towards the end of the school year from 3rd through 12th grade. For 9th through 12th graders, it counts as 20 percent of their final course grades.
Between 3rd and 8th grade, tests are in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
9th to 12th graders are tested in the following courses:
- Language Arts
- Ninth Grade Literature and Composition
- American Literature and Composition
- Mathematics
- Algebra I
- Geometry
- Science
- Physical Science
- Biology
- Social Studies
- United States History
- Economics/Business/Free Enterprise
Middle school students taking any high school courses will be tested at the end of the course, regardless of their grade level. Visit the Georgia Department of Education to learn more about the Georgia Milestones.
