GMAT
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is used by many graduate business programs in their admissions decisions.
What is the GMAT?
The GMAT is a computer-based standardized test used by many graduate schools in the admission process for their business program.
What does the test measure?
The GMAT consists of four sections: analytical writing assessment, integrated reasoning, quantitative and verbal.
- Analytical Writing Assessment – Measures your ability to think critically and to communicate your ideas. In this section, you are asked to analyze the reasoning behind a given argument and write a critique of that argument.
- Integrated Reasoning – Measures your ability to evaluate information presented in multiple formats from multiple sources – skills you need to succeed in our technologically advanced, data-driven world.
- Quantitative - Measures your ability to analyze data and draw conclusions using reasoning skills. The mathematics needed to understand and solve problems in this section are no greater than what is generally taught in high school classes.
- Verbal – Measures your ability to read and understand written material, to evaluate arguments, and to correct written material to conform to standard written English.
