Application Procedure for the Georgia National Guard Service Cancelable Loan
The Georgia National Guard Service Cancelable Loan (GNG SCL) application consists of two parts: application and promissory note. The student must complete Part A of the GNG SCL application and submit to the GNG office for completion of Part B. The student then takes the application and promissory note to the postsecondary institution for completion of Part C.
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis pending available funds. An application must be completed and received by GSFA each year in order to be considered for the loan.
Undergraduate students are also required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year he or she intends to apply for the GNG SCL.
