Georgia’s Senior (4-year) Military College: The University of North Georgia
Attending a senior military college is one path to becoming a military officer. According to Today’s Military, the six senior military colleges in the United States are “among the most prestigious and famous education institutions in the world.” Georgia is home to one of these respected institutions: The University of North Georgia.
Nationally recognized, the Corps of Cadets at UNG have produced an impressive number of graduates who are currently serving in positions of vital importance, protecting national security interests across the globe. The Corps of Cadets has also earned the Gen. Douglas MacArthur Award multiple times as the top Army ROTC program among the six senior military colleges.

Georgia’s Junior (2-year) Military College: Georgia Military College
Founded in 1879, Georgia Military College is one of the nation’s four Junior Military Colleges and participates in the US Army’s Early Commissioning Program where graduates can become commissioned officers in the reserve components of the Army National Guard or the Army Reserve.
