Truck Driver
Truck drivers operate tractor-trailer combinations or trucks of great capacity to deliver goods, livestock or materials in packaged, loose or liquid form.
- They are skilled in not only driving these large vehicles, but also maneuvering them into sometimes difficult loading and unloading positions.
- Truck drivers are often responsible for ensuring their equipment is in good working order, and they are always responsible for following safety procedures-especially when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
- They must also handle their share of paperwork, including bills of lading, load documentation, logs of working hours and receipts of delivery.
