Georgia Fact Book Highlights Key Facts and Figures
The House Budget and Research Office recently released its inaugural publication of the Georgia Fact Book, an informative overview with key facts and figures from state agencies and structures from around the state.
The Lottery for Education pages show that more than 2 million Georgians have received awards to further their postsecondary education since the inception of the HOPE Scholarship program in 1993. However, their Population Demographics section shows as of 2022, only 38% of the more than 10 million Georgians have an associate’s degree or more.
A steady increase of population is expected, especially with the state’s thriving economy and job opportunities. For residents looking to take advantage, there are TCSG-Eligible programs where free tuition is available at any Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) school for careers in need of skilled workers.
